PTB Special Products offers solutions for safely moving and storing heavy and irregular objects. The products that we design are often based on the well-known pallet truck, pallet stacker or tow-tractor. Lifting capacities start at 1 ton (1.000 kg) and go as far as 50 tons (50.000 kg). This platform truck with 20 ton capacity was delivered to a Dutch manufacturer of transformers to increase efficiency of several logistical processes.
This pallet truck has a load capacity of 8 ton, and has an integrated weighing system. The truck is used to move heavy deburring equipment. Before shipping these machines, the goods must be weighed. With this PTB pallet truck, both moving and weighing the equipment can be done simultaneously.
For several clients we designed pallet trucks with capacities over 10 ton, to load freight containers. Loading shipping containers with heavy objects is a recurring issue for many companies, because conventional tools that are used to transport these kinds of loads, or not suitable for reaching into a shipping container. Overhead cranes, or forklift trucks can carry the cargo, but not into the limited space of a freight container. Below you can see an example of a 10,5-tons pallet truck we designed for a customer in Thailand. The lifting mechanism of the truck is specially made to carry the cargo in a level position over a slope.
For the operator of the port of Singapore, we designed 7-ton platform trucks to swap the batteries of AGV container trucks.
For the German railway operator, we built a platform truck for handling train bogies. These devices weigh up to 15.000 kilograms.
