The size and weight of train wheel sets (bogies) makes them a difficult type of product to move. PTB devices are the ideal product for such tasks. The PTB DP150 is a very mobile and easy-to-use system in comparison to an overhead crane, which is often used for handling materials as heavy and sizeable as wheel sets.
The PTB DP150 was built and became operational in 2008. The device has been in use for over a decade, proving to be a reliable part of the inspection and overhaul activities in NedTrain's facility in Haarlem in the Netherlands.
