Heavy duty electric pallet truck for Norwegian fishing gear supplier

The Norwegian fishing partner Egersund Group produces large-scale towing equipment for fishing. The company needed an electric pallet truck to move nets, fishing gear and machines. PTB Special Products developed an electric pallet truck that serves excellently in the salty environment of the Norwegian fishing port.

Technical service provider

Egersund Group in Norway is a technical service provider in the fishing industry. The company has various workshops and warehouses in the larger Norwegian fishing ports. Heavy fishing gear materials are moved in these workshops every day.

Moving heavy equipment

To move nets and machines, among other things, in the largest warehouse in Egersund, the company needed a means of transport with 2.4 meter long forks and a lot of lifting capacity. PTB Special Products tackled this challenge and developed the EPD100; a strong pallet truck with a lifting capacity of 10,000 kilos, which is easy to operate.

Influence of salt

The salty environmental influence on the ocean coast poses a technical risk. Egersund's wish was to limit this possible influence of environmental factors on the operation of the heavy duty pallet truck as much as possible.

Special coating

PTB designed the machine to be as resistant as possible to the environmental influences in the seaport and provided the ten-ton truck with a special coating. This means that the machine can withstand the environment and the saltwater materials to be transported for many years.
