PTB Special Products designs and constructs custom material handling equipment for the transportation of heavy pallets, cargo, equipment and machines. PTB has been active in the world of producing industrial equipment since its founding in 1897. The company is family-owned, and is based in Groningen (NL), with two seperate facilities.

Our history

PTB (Pot & Ter Borgh) was found in 1897 as a farriery in the city center of Groningen. At the turn of the 20th century, the company expanded by building a factory. Around the 1970's PTB expanded further and entered the market for material handling equipment.

Our products

Our custom-made material handling equipment is used throughout the world for handling heavy and sizable goods. Goods like oversized or heavy pallets, metal coils, injection molds, train bogies, machine parts and so forth. All equipment is made to order.

Our history

The story of PTB Special Products dates back the establishment of PTB itself, all the way back in 1897. From its founding until now, PTB has been active in the world of custom equipment, by designing and manufacturing equipment for customers all over the world.

Established in the end of the 19th century, PTB started as a farriery in the city center of Groningen (NL) and grew rapidly resulting in the construction of a brand-new machine works at the edge of the city. The company has always focused on the production of components and equipment for industrial applications.
